The RC001 tyres are very good which I also have.
I have just done the TR Register European Meeting and Wales Tour on them total of 3,300 kms or 2050 miles on them no problem.

Hi all.
Myself and my wife Maria are driving in our TR6 from our home in Albatera, Alicante, Spain to the UK on 28th of this month ready for the 2019 (originally) TR Register European Weekend and the Welsh tour afterwards in September.
I remember years ago when I drove to Europe in a RHD TR6 i needed to put on headlight deflectors which were usually black stick on ones covering part of the beam.
My TR6 is LHD and obviously the headlights ( which are WIPAC Halogen ones) are angled different to the UK models.
Can I make up a pair of deflectors with Sticky tape? or similar?
There are lots of modern rectangular headlight ones, but it is confusing if they are handed or not ie, UK or EU
Your suggestions would be helpful.
Kind Regards,

Hi everyone,
Just filled up the Alhambra with diesel. €1.4999 litre, with 20 cents per litre off, courtesy of the Spanish government, makes €1.2999 litre (cheapest it's been for a long time). Unfortunately that finishes at midnight 31st. December.
Happy and Prosperous New Year to you all.

Problem is I am a hoarder. I do not throw things away I always think I may have need for it. So in the shed it will go "might come in handy some day"
Thanks again for input Bruce,
Maybe see you next year for the TR Reg European meeting in Coventry

Hi Bruce,
Thanks for the information you and everybody else has given me. Due to the logistics of getting my crank back to the UK and the lack of services to repair it, here in Spain I have taken up a very generous offer of a crankshaft from BigJon. Thanks again, Jon. It will be picked up on Monday and delivered to me before the end of next week. I will get it checked over and may or may not need new shell bearings which I will have to source and buy.
Thank you all.

Hi Ralf,
Thanks for your input.
Interesting regarding Hard clutch possibly causing damage. How can that be rectified?
Do you mean possibly thrust washer reversed.?

Hi Peter,
Forgive my ignorance but I don't understand your question. I am not that savvy about this subject.
Does anyone have the original thickness of the flange piece which is worn. please?

Thanks Harvey and Berry I will contact them

Thanks Andy, Good idea.
Thanks Harvey the thought of metal spraying had crossed my mind.
Being in Spain makes it more difficult to find theses sort of places and Spanish is not my forte !!
Thanks guys.

Hello all
This is something I know very little about. The thrust washer in my short backed crankshaft part no:311313 has worn a groove into the side of it., for how long and how it happened I don't know.
Your thoughts and suggestions would be eagerly accepted
Can the groove be welded to the correct thickness then machined? Or is it scrap? What should I do?
I look forward to you knowledgeable replies.

Hi Derek,

Hi All,
Does anyone have the correct Paint colour or formulation for TR6 wheels.
It is said that VHT SP188 Ford Argent Silver Wheel paint is as near to the original colour but I cannot get it anywhere here in Spain. No one with ship it either because of inflammably aspect.
I have tried to get it analysed but cannot get a correct reading because of the shape of the wheel.
I hope someone has a solution.
Kind Regards,

Hi all,
Is there a promo code or something to get in cheaply to get into the Restoration show at the NEC March 18th? I would really like to come along as I am in the UK for a limited time. My only day would be early on the Friday.
It would be nice to catch up and have a chat with everyone on the Register stand. Possibly buy a few bits and pieces as well I haven't been to the UK for 2 years due to Covid.
Hopefully see you there.

Hi,
The company I bought them from does not reply .
Vredestein says "we cannot meet the tire warranty demand as it is outside the deadline."
I have put the matter in the hands of a consumer organisation. I wait to hear if they say there is a case to answer.
It does make you wary about buying tyres on line as tyres can be up to 2 years old from manufacture and classed as new.
Thanks for your interest

Hi John, Cp 26309 and Waldi,,
John I have sent all the information to the online company . I am waiting for a response to that.
We have a consumer organisation called Facua here in Spain, I have sent the information to them for their opinion, again waiting for a reply.
Thanks Waldi This area Manage for Vredestein said he is waiting for a reply to the report he says he sent to Holland.. He will let me know what it says.
Kind Regards,
