Evening All,
I have a Lenham fiberglass hard top which has been languishing in my shed for many years waiting to be restored which is never going to happen. It has the windows and window rubbers, bit no lining. No fixings. It also has damage to the fiberglass as shown in the fourth picture below which I'm sure can easily be fixed in the right hands.
Is this of interest to anyone?
Based in Oxted Surrey collection only.
Let me know.

Depends on what cam you have fitted.
Stuart.
Hi Stuart, thanks for this.
I realise I should have included more info.
I have a standard CP cam and had the dizzy converted to CP my Martin Jay. Also had the pump, MU and injectors refurbed by Neil F with him aware that it was a CP block using the CR throttle bodies so all should be good from that perspective. I just wanted to know whether I should have timed the MU for CP or CR and I think I am talking myself into concluding that it should be timed as a CP. Is this correct?
Many thanks

I know this is an old thread, but I have a CR car which has a CP engine block fitted, but using the CR throttle bodies. I suspect that the CR metering unit has been fitted to the CP engine but am not sure. How can I tell?, and if it is a CR MU with a CP block, which timing method should I have used....and indeed would it matter which was used? I'm pretty sure I used the CP method back when I did it but can't really remember. I'm having some running issues so want to go back to first principles.
Many thanks in advance.

I dont know you as we have never met or spoken. I've been a member of the TRRegister circa 2017, when I got my 5. All I wanted to say to you is that you are so helpful, informative and understanding with all your responses for help with TR5 matters. I know you are not alone in giving advice and there are some other really good contributors. But for me you stand out and this doesn't go unnoticed.
People like you and those other contributors make this forum a 'superb resource' for us TR5 owners.
Best wishes,
Mike
Agree whole heartedly. The man is a legend. Thank you Stuart.

Many thanks all for the Birthday wishes. Very quiet day. Just back from a nice meal out with the boss.

Make sure you apply enough sealer to the joints for the rear panels so that it "squeezes out" when the panels are bolted together. This ensures you get a nice uniform finish as per the pictures. Excess sealer is easily removed with White Spirit or other similar product.

Never been able to. It's sitting there on the lever but not connected to either end.

Assuming the current door fit is good, make a template of the bottom edge shape by standing the door on a flat board and drawing around the edge of the door. This gives you a reference to work to whilst reskinning and welding up

Glad you're back up and about Roger. Great progress

Sorry, we made alternative arrangements immediately the IWE was cancelled and before Ambergate was announced.
Just back from a lovely weekend in Marlborough with Mark69, Len1 and our other halves. Saturday we drove to Bourton on the water, visited the classic car museum, then a quick spin around the Cotswolds, taking in Stow, Chipping Norton, Shipton, Burford, Swindon and back to Marlborough for a curry and a few beers.
Great weekend.

you could always take up the block paving and put down a layer of sand and newspaper like the bottom of a parrots cage.
Simplify the process...use Sandpaper

Hi Tony,
Not Greece, but last week I drove the D971 from Dijon in Burgundy up towards Troyes in Champagne. Unfortunately I was driving my motorhome but I spent the trip wishing I was in my TR6. Lovely climbs and descents tight turns and long sweeping turns.

Looking great Andy. We'll done

I have been studying this recently in the context on having internet in a motorhome and it is clear that lots of people use 4g for home provision also. As far as I can see, one of the most consistently highly regarded LTE (4G) routers is the Netgear Nighthawk M1. Couple this with a Poynting External Antenna and you wont go far wrong. If you can pinpoint where the nearest mast is and have line of sight, use a directional antenna such as the Poynting Xpol 2 but if not, then use an omnidirectional Antenna such as Poynting Xpol 1. Directional antennas give much better gain, therefore better speeds if you can use one, but in the mobile context this is not really possible and the Omni ones can give excellent results.
Another useful point of interest is the fastest 4G network in the UK is EE, with Vodafone in 2nd, O2 in 3rd and Three is the slowest. Best source of cheap data sim cards is one of the piggyback providers such as Smarty, Voxi, etc but pay attention to which network they piggyback on
No connection or interest with these suppliers, just an interested party.
Hope this helps.
