Happy Birthday Marko

Great stuff again, thanks Hamish.
I've just finished having my mother's 8mm films digitised and found some of my brother doing driving tests in his MGA. Mum only had a fixed lens Bell & Howell camera, we were envious of the semiprofessionals with Bolexes!

If you're worried it might have degraded, just use a stronger mix. I can't think of any reason why it should degrade with age though as long as the top is on the container.

Many of the parts I bought for my 4A rebuild were from TR Bitz, when John Sykes was running them. Always good service. Oh, and I won a prize* in their concours soon after getting the car back on the road.

IPA?
Doesn't smell like it. A quick Google suggests that it's ammonium acetate diluted 50% with water.

I am not going to enter the argument of is it or is it not a TR, but I will say it looks much nicer in reality than in a photo.
That's not difficult though!

I asked the young lady to get somebody to check their stock as my 50 would be a pimple on an elephants bum. They probably won't
From my experience, they very likely will. I used to sell them proximity switches; they were my favourite customer.

“Why? What will I do with it?”
Does everything need to have a logical purpose?
Back in the 1970s I made my most useless creation - it was about a 4 inch cube, with no visible controls. If picked up it played the national anthem (badly) until it was put down again.

Car washes in Germany (and some in the UK) recycle the water they use.

They come in different thicknesses Dave, from about 1mm up to 25mm.

+1. I scrounged some offcuts from a company that makes coneyors.

Good to see you posting again, and congratulations on finding somewhere more suitable to live.

It sounds like a serious mistake that could cost a lot of money to rectify. I’m having serious doubts whether to go through with this purchase now.
I agree, I would pass on that one.

Who is this 'specialist TR engineer' who thinks that Triumph fitted unnecessary parts?

Thanks Paul, I’ll make a note of this and ask the seller.
Neil
Did you ask them?

Thanks Roy,
Can they be fitted at a later stage quite easily?
Best

No, and their absence would make me question what else has been left out.
