you will need a heritage certificate from BMIH Gaydon for your V5/55 application to Swansea , you also need to prove it is roadworthy .

if you have gone non standard then yes you will have to put it back to the tank and either get a later six tank or put another inlet in your 5 tank

cannot give you the thread size of the top of my head , but I can say that the return pipe does not return to the tank it returns to the filter in the boot .

The DVLA will use SGS for the inspection , there is normally no interaction between the inspector and yourself , he has a tick sheet that is simply a yes or no , or a box to insert numbers , they may sometimes ask you to show them the position of the vin plate/ chassis number/ engine number , if they are not familiar with your vehicle.

Be aware that you should have informed the DVLA when you changed the engine , there is a section on all V5 log books that requires you to inform the DVLA of changes to your vehicle , colour / engine etc etc

remove the frame then hold the plate in place with the one good thread using a short bolt and a nice wide thick washer , then gently run a tap through the other holes .

yes it was restored by Carlos Pires. Very correctly in Portugal, it came back to the uk via Germany , and was enjoyed by the late Dave Tomlin one of my predecessors in this role.

that is a very high price in comparison , last one to sell in the UK was also red and a far better restored car with all the correct parts , and 5k Less as well
i think if one of the top cars that have all the correct parts comes to market I think we will a 200k italia

DVLA Inspection

The DVLA have indeed got more strict of late , and are becoming more reliant on CLUB inspections or returning applications saying they they need owners club to endorse your application . Add in they are working from home , it’s not easy at the moment.
our club advice is free , and we only charge £30 to make your application be it a 765 or a V5/55
email is v765@tr-register.co.uk
