They do appear to big at first , but by the time it’s all together it is needed so do not cut it , I used plenty of lube and it was all in in 30 minutes.

for everybody Ian sold the car to Germany in 1982 where it was looked after by a enthusiast who used the car sparingly , the enthusiast facilitated the purchase by myself and I repatriated the car late last year, it is extremely original with a documented low mileage

brand new american peterson pacific grinder arrived recently still imperial nuts and bolts , and our bloody engineers trying to beg steal&borrow my best imperial spanners and sockets .

you really need a special grooved clamp that attaches to the bearing for removal richard Rogers of wensum group made a complete tool from scratch if you want his details get back to me and i will send them via another source.

you will need the wider correct capping for a Surrey , the folding hood type will not allow the Surrey fabric top to fit under the front. Try and use an original as the replacements are very poor.

good video, we use Nord lock washers on the bolts to hold the tips to the drum in our high speed shredder ,

easy to check injectors are getting fuel if you lightly hold each pipe individually with the car running you will feel them pulsating , just like your own pulse in your wrist , a weak pulse or no pulse means no or reduced fuel pressure .

a true Tr5 can feel lumpy when hot and also when in town traffic !!especially those that did not have the Air bleed conversion fitted to the inlet manifolds , having the butterflies reset and properly adjusted helps greatly , and driving them hard after town traffic helps. as for electronic ignition a properly set up distributor with points rotor and condensor from Martin the distributor doctor works great .
