The exciting new concept car that has reborn the Triumph name, the Triumph TR25, will be on display at the NEC Classic Motor Show on 10-12 November 2023 on the TR Register Car Club stand in Hall 4 with a chance to meet its designers and learn more about the concept.

What’s more, is that the car will also be shown side by side with its inspiration, MVC575, the famous Triumph TR2 which broke the land speed record for production cars under two litres in May 1953.

The display will be a rare opportunity for the public to see this unique car outside of its usual residence at the British Motor Museum, Gaydon.

Earlier this year, and during the centenary celebrations for Triumph, the TR sports car made the headlines again with a new all-electric concept car, created by leading automotive design house, Makkina named the 'TR25'.

Each day on the TR Register Car Club stand, motoring journalist Wayne Scott will be interviewing members of the team of designers at Makkina who conceived this future-looking vehicle with the blessing of BMW. Everyone is welcome to come and join us as we explore how the project came to be by discussing its inspiration, methodology, vision, and future.

Join our interview sessions alongside the car in Hall 4 Stand 450:

  • · Friday 14:30 – Wayne Scott interviews Jordan Gendler
  • · Saturday 13:30 – Wayne Scott interviews designer Yalim Erkaya
  • · Sunday 13:30 – Wayne Scott interviews designer Jordan Gendler

Both designers will be on hand on the stand throughout the day for individual questions on the car.

Director at Makkina, Michael Ani, said: “The NEC Classic Motor Show is the ideal place for the Triumph TR25 by Makkina to go on display. It gives show-goers the chance to see our interpretation of a contemporary Triumph design alongside its historic inspiration and amongst the enthusiasts and experts who love the Triumph TR brand so dearly.”

70 years after its record was secured and 100 years since the Triumph name first appeared on a production car, Triumph returns to the headlines under a different name and sporting a new, modern design direction as the Triumph TR25 by Makkina. With a deep-rooted commitment to craftsmanship and innovation, UK-based design house Makkina has created the TR25 to embody the record-breaking car’s attributes in a contemporary way with realistic proportions that remain true to the Triumph brand.

Come and celebrate the remarkable achievement and be a part of history at the NEC Classic Motor Show. You can find the TR Register Car Club stand in Hall 4 Stand 450.
