The TR Register has appointed an Operations Manager to oversee club activities, events, logistics and an increasing number of new initiatives.

The TR Register Management Team, after an extensive advertising and recruitment process, have announced Phillip Horsley as the successful candidate to take on the new role (he's the one on the left above).

Phil starts from 1st February 2022 and will be working on a part-time basis from the offices at Didcot with a certain amount of home working as necessary.

Speaking about the appointment, TR Register Chairman, Allan Westbury said,

Phil demonstrated a deep understanding of the TR Register, its members and the events that we create and attend, so is able to hit the ground running for us. He was also able to commit to the weekend working and travelling that is also required. Phil has held a number of voluntary roles within the TR Register in the past, including Group Leader for Kennet Valley, Area Director and Registrar. His professional background managing large remote sales teams both in the UK and abroad will give him the perfect skillset for ensuring the TR Register is running efficiently into the future.”

Phil lives in Thatcham and owns not one, but three Grinnall converted TR7s plus a TR250 that he restored at home. Phil comes to the TR Register after a long career within the automotive and battery industry, including sales management for a number of large international brands.

Phil envisages continuing with his voluntary role as Grinnall Registrar for the club alongside his paid role, but will step down as Kennet Valley Group Leader and Area Director for the South-Central region.

Phil Horsley said, “I’m really looking forward to getting started and helping drive the TR Register onwards into bright future serving the ever-evolving needs of our members and increasing their enjoyment of the cars we all love.”

The TR Register management team wish Phil Horsley every success with the new role and look forward to working with him in the future,

Jo Whitty will continue to run the office administration and is looking forward to Phil joining the team. All enquiries to the office will remain with Jo Whitty on office@tr-register.co.uk and 01235 818866.
