TS2, the first production TR owned in trust by the TR Register, has had a pretty quiet year in 2020. The planned relay of the local groups having been postponed until 2021 due to the pandemic and with all the events across the UK cancelled, she has not been able to undertake her normal PR duties. So, when a last-minute opportunity to attend the Autumn Transport Festival, held by Classic Shows Limited at the Malvern Three Counties Showground presented itself, TR Register Press Officer Wayne Scott took the opportunity to get the car out in public.

TS2 was displayed on the stand of Autumn Transport Festival sponsor Cherished Vehicle Insurance by A-Plan, who also run the TR Register Insurance scheme for the Club. During the day, TS2 made two appearances in the show’s ‘socially distanced arena’ to spread the word of the 50th anniversary of the Club and the promote TS2. During the rest of the show, TS2 was displayed on the Club’s insurer’s stand and drew the affection of the many masked and socially distanced visitors. At the end of the Show, TS2 was presented with a stunning glass trophy for Best Club Display Car, a lovely accolade in recognition of the effort taken to display the car at the Show.

The event happens on the second weekend of October every year at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern, and due to it being run solely outdoors within plenty of open space, has been one of the few events allowed to happen this year, operating under special permissions and waivers from the local authorities in the area.
