The Annual General Meeting of the TR Register was scheduled for 11am on 22nd November 2020 at the British Motor Museum at Gaydon. Since then, the Government has extended the waiver for limited companies to not hold physical AGMs from the expected cut-off of 30th September into the new year.

It was expected that business meetings would be allowed to be held after 1st October and relaxations on the coronavirus restrictions were expected to enable the TR Register AGM to happen in a socially distanced manner. However, with a second surge in infections and with ever-tightening restrictions in preparation for the winter months, business meetings are still prohibited.

In response and rather than delay the Annual General Meeting of the TR Owners Club Limited (TR Register), the meeting will now be held digitally, at the same time and on the same date, 22nd November at 11am GMT.

TR Register Chairman Allan Westbury said, “The management team had considered postponing the meeting, but with so many great awards nominations in for members and with crucial updates to pass on, the management team were keen to adapt to the present situation and continue with business as normal, albeit ‘virtually’. We do hope that the move will bring our Annual General Meeting to a larger audience.”

A dedicated video conferencing platform will be used, specifically designed for AGMs and was previously piloted by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs for their own AGM in September. TR Register members must register to attend here.

After registration, all voting members will be emailed a unique link that will grant them access and voting rights to the meeting. For those not able to attend or unable to access technology, Proxy Voting is open as usual and will run in accordance with the Companies Act 2006 as per previous years and can be completed either online or via paper forms on request from the office.

Members must pre-register before Friday 20th November 2020 and also submit any questions to the meeting in advance via the registration form. If you already registered for the physical meeting this year, you need not register again. A recording of the meeting will be available for viewing afterwards.
