Being the day after Prescott the entry for this fantastic event in North Essex was just low with 3 Register members & 1 "guest".
Bob Mead had battled his way through the weather back from Prescott to compete in his TR4 alongside Clive Letherby in his TR6V8 & yours truly in my TR7V8.
We were very fortunate with wall to wall sunshine all day.
Our times were nip & tuck all day making for excellent racing. In the end I took the honours with a time of 84.91 seconds bettering the bogey time by over 3 seconds helped by the course being laid out less tight in one area. Clive also beat the bogey with a 87.56 & Robert 98.31.
We were all beaten by non TR Register member Martyn Ellis dual driving Clive's Car as his own Lotus Sunbeam is being repaired by the guy driving it following an off at a race meeting at Castle Donnington.
There was a great turn out of support from the Lea Valley & North London groups who parked in a nice display near the finish. They were keen to "look under the bonnet" .
