On the 3rd November 2013 the TR Register (TR Owners Club Limited) Annual General Meeting took place and the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon.
The meeting began with an opening welcome from the chairman and a statement on the legality of the meeting in reference to the Articles of Association. Meeting formalities followed directly before a short video of images showing the highlights from the past 12 months of TR Register activity.
The chairmans report discussed matters relating to the events calendar over the past 12 months and the state of the classic car scene in general. The chairman also covered staffing at the offices in Didcot including new and departed team members before moving on to the updates relating to the re-drafting of the Articles of Association, Insurance for TR Register members, Forum's and websites and issues around parts quality.
Treasurers reports and budget proposals from company secretary Mervyn Parkes were presented along with the first ever General Managers report from Brian Sparrowhawk. The general manager discussed staffing in more detail, shows and events that the club has been involved with and membership levels over the past year. The General manager closed with some thoughts on exciting prospects for the future.
Further reports that were presented at the 2013 AGM included a full report on club insurance matters from the Insurance Operations Director. This report included a Q&A over how the insurance integrates with the club and some insight into the history, development and vision for the future. Ian Cornish reported on the Spares Development fund and Wayne Scott presented the first ever Press Officers report. Within the Press Officers report, visions for future communications, marketing and online strategies were shared with those present.
The clubs management committee were appointed as were the directors and a vote was held to award two individuals, Ian Gibson and Barry Goswell with Honorary Membership. The meeting was completed with the presentation of the TR Register Awards ceremony 2013. The winners from which can be seen below and a huge congratulations to them all.
The minutes of the AGM detail any questions raised from the floor for each report as well as resolutions raised and voted on by those present. At present time the minutes remain in draft state until approved by members at the next TR Register AGM.
