david c
Having failed to get the bottom clamp to tighten up on the rack pinion, still had a little bit of play in it before the wheels actually moved, I think Im getting paranoid I keep having visions of what could happen if the steering actually failed. I have ordered a new standard rack from Mr Revington should be here tomorow. (I had waited months for a reconditioned rack for another supplier, only to be told they had canceled my order as there was little chance of a rebuilt rack becoming available any time soon) Any advise on removing the old and replacing with new would be very welcome.............would like to get it done in time for Sunday. Many thanks David
peejay4A
Those clamps have a design problem. RogerH has written on it and described a solution.
