Ian Vincent
Whilst installing the interior trim on my TR3a I have managed to nick the Vinyl in a couple of places, nothing major and both marks are in areas where they aren't likely to be seen but nonetheless, I would like to repair them. I have done a quick internet search and identified a couple of options including one sold by Frost that is manufactured by what seems to be an American company called Liquid Leather. Has anyone on the forum had experience of any of these kits and feel able to recommend one. It is for black vinyl so colour matching shouldn't be an issue. D Murton
Ian I haven't used the Frost one but I have used i repair kit from http://www.repairproducts.co.uk/page3.htm on a dining chair. It isn't an invisible repair but it is in a very obvious position in the middle of the seat. Dave
littlejim
Years ago I bought an el cheapo kit that put some silicone like goo on the bit needing fixing, and used a 'stamp' you pushed on to the goo to get the 'vinyl' surface appearance. After a bit of practice to get the amount of goo right, it gave reasonable looking results. (better than the 'before' look anyway.) You 'out of the way' bits sound ideal for having a go.
