WHARFEDALE AUTUMN LEAVES RUN 15th OCTOBER

On the Wharfedale Events List Sunday 15th October was down as our Autumn Leaves Run. That being the case 10 cars met at the Keelham Farm Shop on the Sunday morning around 10 am. It was a very cold morning, but with bright blue skies and sunshine.

Our destination was Bridge House Farm Tea Rooms in Wray. From Skipton we headed to Hellifield turning off there and heading for Bolton By Bowland, then onto Slaidburn for a comfort stop, then from there heading over Tatum Fell to Wray. What a great run that was, the scenery was stunning, helped by the very clear day, great views towards Cumbria, and to the right the Peaks of the Yorkshire Dales.

There was a great welcome for us from John and the team at Bridge House Farm Tea Rooms, car parking space for us, reserved tables in the restaurant. Brilliant.

The route back took us out through Bentham, then turning off before the A65 and heading down through Eldroth, before crossing the A65 and heading into Settle via Giggleswick. Out of Settle over the tops towards and through Airton, before joining the A65 just outside Gargrave, then heading into Skipton.

Again the weather and scenery was just unbelievable, all in all a great day out.
