Committee meeting minutes - April 2023

3rd New Committee meeting 28-04-23

Thanks to Graham for allowing the meeting to be held at TMA again with the added bonus of fish and chip supper

Last minutes were read and agreed by the committee

Tony would like to follow up the low WhatsApp participation and had received membership information for Graham, he is now awaiting conformation from the TR register that he can access the details (GDPR)
Tony was then voted to be Membership secretary.

In the Magazine we will add a paragraph to ensure all members are being contacted.

Due to the summer schedule, weekends away would almost be impossible to organise so Gerry has removed this option. Daytime runs out have been passed to the WhatsApp group for people to post.

4 Regional events were to be placed on the events list but two were cancelled and that means there are only two left.

There will be some changes made regarding the TR Register’s future.
We suggest that all members should read the minutes of the TR Register AGM to get clarification on these changes.

Sandringham Pageant:- you can register with TSSC with a discount or book individually.

The committee will endorse a selection of appropriate events so the members know that there will be a good attendance.
These events will be placed at the top of the events list while all other options will be listed below.

A Coronation run to be organised for the 8th of May, details to be put onto WhatsApp.The Monday meeting will now take place from 16:30 (food and tables to be booked individually from 18:00) .

Group accounts will be published in the minutes.
Assets will be listed and confirmed, then opened up to members for the option to use with a possible deposit (as previous minutes)

50th anniversary event discussed.
Iain has agreed to do some Further researching of dates and possible venue. He will contact Whitwell station about a possible afternoon / evening at a weekend in July.
History from the TR register to be sourced for the event.
All information of the 50th celebration will be clarified via WhatsApp

A Questionnaire had been drafted by Tony to send out to all members, this was agreed and will be sent to the TR Register. They will decide if this should be a nationwide survey or sent out only to Wensum members for their thoughts.

Iain to send Mark the details from the Wensum annual magazine he has and then a format can be discussed further.

Anne Norman offered her fishing lakes as a possible venue for afternoon picnic and social gathering, date to be Friday the 30th of June (there are local takeaways too)
