Staffs and Warwick Group Spring 2019 Update

Staffs and Warwick Group Spring 2019 Update

The glorious March weather prompted two outings for members one to Bakewell and the other to Castelton and the Winnats Pass both competed with the tops down and wind in our hair.

At our AGM on the 2nd April Chris Hubble announced that he was stepping down as group leader, and was thanked for his sterling work over the past 5 years in making us a successful group.

Richard Dewis agreed to take over the role of Group Leader with the support of Neil Wragg, Dave Kent and Mick Robinson.

By the time this article is published we will have taken 14 cars (12 TR's 1 Stag and 1 MGB V8 we aren't proud!) to Bicester Heritage Centre on Drive It Day.

As well as our twice monthly meets we plan to hold at least one run per month during 2019.

Future Events:

19th of May will see us at the Triumph Picnic Day at Wroxhall Abbey, and hopefully our 6's joining the planned TR6 50th procession to the meeting.

In late May early June, on a day yet to be decided by weather conditions, a drive is planned to Tissington to see the famous well dressing.

9th June sees a visit to the Churnet Valley Car Show and their heritage railway.

Also in June a number of our group will be attending the TR6 50th celebrations in Osnabruck and going on to the TR Tours tour of the Ardennes.

That's it for the early part of the Year.
