Re-cap 2022

Looking back through the year2022 saw us start with,

April, Drive it day.

Drive it day this year saw the group meeting up at Sarn services off the M4, destination Dinefwr Park and Castle just outside Llandeilo. The group consisted again with a mixture of old and new this time Andrew’s TR6 was off the rd with a leaking metering unit but it’s not always just about the cars its building up friendships.

May 2022 being a busy month saw……

A long-awaited trip that had been booked for the Isle of Man classic car festival back in 2020 but due to COVID restrictions the group had cancelled and an alternative trip to Jersey was booked saving deposit payment that had been made for previous event. This saw a mixture of some modern cars accompanying some classic TR’s.

TS2 visit to South Glam, which had been collected from Brunel TR group by myself and Tony, a short stay on Welsh soil but it was  great to be part of it’s UK tour.

The month ended with our annual Vale of Glamorgan Classic Car show in Sully. Neil’s TR4 came 3rd in a very strong field of classic cars, well done Neil.

July annual BBQ

Having weeks and weeks of record hot weather our BBQ weekend had to end up being the wettest for the summer typical British BBQ weather but that didn’t stop a good turn out, lots of food and drinks.

September saw us have a weekend gathering in Pembroke for the annual event ‘’PEMBROKESHIRE COUNTY CLASSIC CAR RUN’’. 9 Triumphs travelled down, 8 of which were TR's the ninth a Triumph Stag.

The month ended with Cowbridge Cars and Coffee with six TR’s from the group, a very busy day with plenty of great other cars attending.

As we near the end of 2022 and begin to look forward toward 2023. We take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

For our regular members that join us at club night and our occasional drive outs and weekend breaks are aware of next year’s change, mainly our new trial venue for club night. The Three Horseshoes in Moulton, Barry. Though our old venue had served us well, with the increase in numbers we've had to look elsewhere hence the change.

Just leaves me to say come and join us in 2023 Merry Christmas
