Hi everyone For 2018 we are going to Dinan in the Brittany Region of France. There are plenty of websites available for information about this town and the surrounding area but this one will give you a taster.

Here are the details complete with instructions of what you will need to do if you wish to join us. Please read and follow these carefully. Dates Either 21st to 25th June for a 4 night stay or 21st to 26th June for a 5 night stay.

Hotel Campanile Hotel Dinan-Taden. Approximately 198km (125 miles) from Cherborg. The hotel is located approximately 2km from the centre of Dinan. We have secured a block booking of 14 double rooms over the period 21st to 26th June. These will be held for us for a limited period of time only (see below) and allocated on a first come, first served basis. Any rooms not taken after this will be released back to the hotel. Room only rates are slightly different for each night as follows – breakfast is extra at 9.90 Euro per person per day. Tourist tax is 0.90 Euro per person.
21st = 69 Euro per room
22nd = 65 Euro per room
23rd = 65 Euro per room
24th = 65 Euro per room
25th = 69 Euro per room
Decide how many nights you want to stay and advise me (Hugh) by 14th February absolute latest. I will confirm that there is space for you so you can make your ferry booking. After 14th February, I will quickly submit our list of names to the hotel for allocations of rooms against our block booking. Once this is done I will notify you as such.

You will then have to telephone the Campanile directly and provide them with your credit card number to secure your room. You must do this by 28th February or you will lose your room. No monies will be taken at this stage. The hotel telephone number is +33 296397565 but do not ring until instructed by myself.

Having secured your room, you can then cancel up until 1800hrs on 21st June without any penalty. Full payment will be taken at the hotel, either on your arrival, or on departure in case you want to add any breakfasts, drinks etc. Please note that this is a specially negotiated arrangement for our group with preferential (cheaper than website) room rates for a flexible (no pre-payment) booking. As such, it is very important that you adhere to the above instructions and timings.

Ferry Portsmouth to Cherborg return crossing on Brittany Ferries high speed ferry (3 hours each way).
Outbound Sailing on 21st June - departs 0900, arrives 1300.
Return Sailing on either 25th or 26th June – departs 1700, arrives 1900.
Cost = £119 each way, so £238 total. I believe this price is fixed and won't rise as ferry car spaces diminish but I can't guarantee this. It looks like a £40 deposit is payable at booking point with balance taken on 6th May 2018.

Having notified me that you want to come including for how many nights and received my confirmation that there is space for you, you then need to make your own ferry bookings using the link below and advise me that you have done this. I would suggest that you do all this sooner rather than later to stand the best chance of participating. Whilst we have a reasonable number of rooms being held for us there is only one ferry sailing per day!
