Well Spring is definitely not in the air at the moment! It is actually hail stoning as I write this bulletin believe it or not!
There a lot of events coming up over the next few months so why not join us
Drive it day
This year's drive it day run will be to the RNLI Lifeboat Station at Hoylake where the cars will have a dedicated parking area and assuming there are no emergency calls we will have a guided tour of the station. There will also be a run cross the Wirral peninsula with a couple of stop off's at places of interest including an option of lunch at the Leasowe Castle Hotel in our own dedicated room. Gawsworth Hall Classic Car Show May 6th
More exciting news! In recent years we have always had an informal gathering of cars at The Gawsworth Classic Car Show on bank holiday Monday. This year we have managed to secure a club stand and ALL TR register members are welcome to join us. All you need to do is email Jonathan/Caroline at trredrose@hotmail.com with your car model and registration.
The show has long been one of the North West's most popular shows attracting an eclectic mix of classic cars and is a great opener to the season. The event takes place from 10:30 to 4:30 and you are free to come and go as you please. Entrance fee is £5 per person and is payable on the day at the gate.
Tatton show 1st 2nd June
This year's club stand will be limited to the June event only due to the clash with The TR Register International weekend on the 17th and 18th of August.
Unlike previous years places will be limited for the June event and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. It is strongly advised that you secure your place as soon as possible - Details are below. Due to the limited number of places available it would be appreciated if all entrants limited ticket request solely to the days they will be attending.
There will be a charge of £1 per entry per event to cover postage which can be paid at Red Rose Monthly meetings or at the event.
To secure you place you will need to email Chris Briggs @ chris@abbey100.com with following details. Please book early to avoid disappointment, closing date for bookings is Sunday 21 April 2019

March meeting
Here at Red Rose our March meeting and photo competition was once again a sell out with extra chairs having to be brought in! Although due to a power failure it very nearly didn't happen. Fortunately power was restored in time and the only casualties were the Yorkshire puddings that had sunk in the oven!
Thank you to everyone who sent in their photos and apologies to those who's photo's seemed to have got lost somewhere in cyber space! Keep hold of them for next year! Thanks also to Jonathan for printing out the photo books for each table and to Tim and Karen for organising the voting sheets and adding up the all important votes.
The winners were Hamish and Suzie Roscoe, Phil Moss was 2nd and Martin and Lynne Hill were 3rd. The top 13 photos will appear in the 2020 calendar but if you can't wait till then they are also on the website and the group Facebook page.
We also had news on some upcoming events. This year we have booked a club stand at Gawsworth Hall Car Show on 6th May so if you would like to join us please email your car model and registration to trredrose@hotmail.com.
There was also information about Drive It Day, Tatton, and the International Weekend which is taking place in Stratford this year for the first time.
Looking ahead we have quite an exciting day of events planned for our 9th June meeting. Red Rose has been invited to take part in "Antrobus Big Boys Breakfast Classic Car Display & Cheshire Run" and also the steam fair at the Lyon Salt Works.
We are hoping to tie both of these events in with our usual meeting at The Cock at Budworth and you are all welcome to join us. Further details will be posted on our Facebook page and the website nearer the time.
Red Rose Facebook Group
Thank you to those who joined the Red Rose Facebook group in 2018. We now have 118 members.
Why not join? We will be announcing event details and updates through the year on the Facebook page and all TR Register members are encouraged to join and share details of their cars and events they have attended. We will be running the Facebook draw again next year and to ensure you are eligible for a place you need to place a posting on the Facebook page in 2019.
