RED ROSE MARCH BULLETIN
Well it's been quite a start to the year, with the early spring sunshine surprising us all – Long may it last!
It's time to do all those jobs you have been putting off in anticipation of a spring that is packed with events for everyone to get out and make the most of their TR.
Drive it Day
We will have exciting news about this year's drive it day at the March meeting with further details being posted on the Red Rose Facebook page and the TR Register website later this month. All we can say at the moment is it is a new destination with a strong nautical theme!
Gawsworth Hall Classic Car Show May 6th
More exciting news! In recent years we have always had an informal gathering of cars at The Gawsworth Classic Car Show on bank holiday Monday. This year we have managed to secure a club stand and ALL TR register members are welcome to join us. All you need to do is email Jonathan/Caroline at trredrose@hotmail.com with your car model and registration.
The show has long been one of the North West's most popular shows attracting an eclectic mix of classic cars and is a great opener to the season. The event takes place from 10:30 to 4:30 and you are free to come and go as you please. Entrance fee is £5 per person and is payable on the day at the gate.
Tatton Show 1st 2nd June
This year's club stand will be limited to the June event only due to clash with TR Register International weekend on the 17th and 18th of August
Unlike previous years places will be limited for the June event and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. It is strongly advised that you secure your place as soon as possible - Details are below. Due to the limited number of places available it would be appreciated if all entrants limited ticket request solely to the days they will be attending.
There will be a charge of £1 per entry per event to cover postage which can be paid at Red Rose Monthly meetings or at the event

February Events meeting
February saw us gather once again for the events meeting with another full house, in fact we had to draft in more chairs! Jonathan chaired the meeting in his usual style with plenty of humour thrown in!
It was a busy meeting with lots to get through including the results of the questionnaire, proposals for Drive it Day and autumn leaves runs plus updates on other forthcoming events. After a bit of arm twisting from Jonathan we have some volunteers for Sunday runs so a big thank you to them but we are still looking for more! If you have a burning desire to organise a run or are willing to lead an existing pre done one then email us at trredrose@hotmail.com your help would be greatly appreciated.
We also looked ahead to 2020 and are currently checking out dates for TR Fest!
There is now a packed diary of events for 2019 and a copy of all the events for the year is available to view on our Facebook page and also on the TR Register Red Rose website but if there is anything you would like us to add then email us at trredrose@hotmail.com and If you would like to join us at any of our events or meetings don't hesitate to contact us as we can promise a warm welcome.
Red Rose Photograph Competition – 10th March Meeting
The photo competition and the resulting Red Rose Calendar has been a big success over the last two years and voting for this year's photographs will take place at the 10th March Cock at Budworth meeting.
We have extended the closing date for entries to Sunday the 3rd March, at the very latest to allow for printing in advance of the 10th March meeting. Entries received after this date cannot be guaranteed a place in the competition.
Entrants are limited to three photos each (6 max for couples) and these should be in an electronic format with quality / file size as high as possible. The top thirteen photos, voted for at the March meeting will be included within the 2020 Red Rose Calendar and also posted on the Facebook page each month.
Please provide details of when and where the photo was taken along with a suitable caption. Email your photo's to trredrose@hotmail.com.
Red Rose Facebook Group
Thank you to those who joined the Red Rose Facebook group in 2018. We now have 117 members.
Why not join? We will be announcing event details and updates through the year on the Facebook page and all TR Register members are encouraged to join and share details of their cars and events they have attended. We will be running the Facebook draw again next year and to ensure you are eligible for a place you need to place a posting on the Facebook page in 2019.

We still have a few copies of the calendar left at the bargain price of £5 so it's not too late to secure your copy. If you can't make the meeting just email us at trredrose@hotmail.com and we will post one out to you.
