NEW HOME OF THE RED ROSE GROUP – THE COCK AT BUDWORTH, Warrington Road, Great Budworth, Northwich, Cheshire, CW9 6HB
Red Rose Group is moving to the Cock at Budworth for our monthly meetings starting on Sunday the 8th of July at the usual Time of 12 noon.
The Cock at Budworth can be found approximately one and a half miles south of our former venue, The Antobus Arms, on the A559 near the village of Great Budworth.
We will have the sole use of the rear ground floor dining room for our meetings with ample seating for everyone and a large car park to accommodate the cars. All the food is freshly prepared on site and the Sunday lunch menu features traditional pub food such as Steak & Ale Pie, Fish & Chips, Gammon Steak, the Cock's famous roast and vegetarian options. There is also a wide range of ales, which include Holt's Bitter and regular guest ales.
The 8th of July meeting will have a packed agenda including forth coming summer events, important TR Fest news, TR Register International report, summer shows and details of the Red Rose Summer run on the 15th of July.
There will be a short run after the meeting and details will be announced nearer the date.
The landlady, Michelle and her team are looking forward to seeing us on the 8th of July and we hope as many of you as possible will come along to show your support for the group at our new home which has all the features of the former Antrobus Arms plus so much more!
Red Rose Summer Run Sunday 15th July
All TR Register members are invited join Richard and Sian Chandler on a spectacularly scenic run, starting from Rhug Estate country shop on the A5, just west of Corwen (LL21 0EH) and finishing in Denbigh.
Highlights are the rest stop at "The Riverside Chocolate House" and the ever so eccentric Cae Dai museum just outside Denbigh at the end. Needless to say the roads pass through beautiful countryside, farmland, forestry and moorland and it even includes part of the notorious Evo Triangle. There is also the option of a meal at the Dinorben Arms at Bodari, outside Denbigh after the run.
We will be setting off from Rhug at 11.00am so aim to arrive around 10:30. Road books will be issued on the day giving mileages to each junction and tulip diagrams. There are no petrol stations on the route itself so fill up on the way to Rhug.
For those travelling from the NW there is the option of meeting up at 9:30 at the Shell Station on the Mold Bypass, Chester Rd, Mold CH7 1UE. We will be departing at 9:30 prompt for the main departure point at Rhug via the Horseshoe Pass.

12th August – Red Rose at Stonyhurst Classic Car Show, Clitheroe - Cancelled
Due to the limited number of entries for this event and also the new change in venue for our monthly meeting the proposed Red Rose stand at the Stonyhurst Car Show has been postponed until next year.
We will however be arranging a short run after the meeting at the Cock at Budworth on the 12th of August and all Red Rose members are invited to join us at the new venue and the post meeting run.

Red Rose Facebook Group
Thank you to those who have been contributing to the Red Rose Face book group over the last few months. We will be announcing event details and updates through the year on the Facebook page and TR Register members are encouraged to join and share details of their cars and events.
There will be a randomly selected prize later this year for all Facebook members so why not join? You could be a winner!
June Review
June arrived and was not so flaming for the first day of the Tatton Park Car Show! A bit of a soggy start but things did improve and by Sunday the sun was shining. We had about 30 cars attending over the two days which didn't exactly test Tony's parking skills! Hopefully there will be a bigger turnout in August.
Our June meeting was very well attended and we welcomed two new members Elissa and Anthony along with their TR7. We also welcomed back Phil Leech who was visiting us from his home in France. The post meeting run to the Lion Salt Works, kindly organised by Keith Nuttall, was a great success and photos are on Facebook for those who were unable to attend.
Six Red Rose cars attended this year's Peaks and Dale's Classic Car Run organised by the Hare and Hounds Classic Car Club. Anyone who hasn't yet attended this event should give it a try as it is well organised with a wide range of vehicles enjoying a scenic run through the Derbyshire Dales ending at the Pavilion Gardens in Buxton.
MG Car Club Classic car meet at the Plough and Flail was well attended with Chris and Sandra Briggs bringing home the trophy for best Non MG at the Show with their freshly restored TR4A. Chris and Sandra had just returned from Europe covering over 2500 miles in their TR6. They must surely own one of the best travelled TR's in the group.
Red Rose were at this year's Lymm Historic Transport festival on Sunday 24th of June whilst most of you were cheering England on to their 6-1 win in the world cup, Red Rose were also winners with Jonathan and Caroline's TR4 winning the award for best Triumph at the show.

Red Rose is changing and growing and there are lots of proposed events planned for the year ahead to suit all of our members so why not take advantage of the opportunities the group offers and come along and join us at one of our meetings or events. All members are welcome.
