LVG go to Kelmarsh Hall

Our visit to this 18th Century House & Gardens was originally planned in 2020, but Covid put paid to that. We have now caught up and 14 members attended our TRip to what was a wonderful day out.
We were welcomed by all the staff and were superbly fed and watered by Sweet Pea Tea Rooms.

The 7 TR's met up along a route from Hertfordshire to the house in Northamptonshire and amazingly stuck together and all arrived together. After a short talk giving us the history of the site, we had our pre booked lunch, after which we were free to roam the house and gardens at our leisure. Much of the house has not changed in over 100 years and many of the rooms are presented as they would have been in the 1920's.

We were able to park the cars at the front of the house and although a couple of builders vans prevented us getting photos of us all together, we did snap a few shots throughout the day.

Although being early August the weather deteriorated through the day and by the time we left the rain and drizzle had set in. Despite the weather we all managed to view the extensive gardens and everyone agreed it was a great day out.
