LVG and TSSC do “Drive it Day”

LVG and TSSC do “Drive it Day”

This year LVG decided to drive to The Buckinghamshire Railway Museum and invited the Herts Group of TSSC to join us. A fantastic route was planned by Graham Teeson, who led a group of cars from one of our usual meeting points at Baldock Services, to meet up with a second group who set off from Woburn. A few members cried off when they saw the weather forecast, but we still managed to get 14 cars on the drive and we all agreed that the number and size of the pot holes we encountered, were bigger than we are used to. We all arrived OK and in one group, although some didn’t come into the museum as they had been many times before and one driver had been instructed by his wife to go home and do some ironing!!!

The weather was kind to us all day and even the sun came out a little bit, with quite a few TR’s keeping their tops down. The museum had a transport festival theme over the weekend, so there were lots of steam machines fired up. Some giving rides, some playing organ music and some being wonderful scale models of exceptional quality. For more photos of the day head over to our “Gallery” and see what we managed to do all day.
