Great Day out for TR Register Members at Flywheel, Bicester

Great Day out for TR Register Members at Flywheel, Bicester

Six TR Register members attended the first day of Flywheel at Bicester Heritage centre. Truly a great day out. There was a fantastic range classic cars to see and static and displaying aircraft to enjoy. Lots of period race cars performed around the figure of 8 track.

Lots of people bought into the event and were dressed in Period dress, even 'Dads Army' (Home Guard) were on parade.

You could go on a Dakota DC3 and a Catalina flying boat which during the war crews manned for 24 hours seeking out enemy submarines.

There were superb air displays from a Mustang, Spitfire and a great 'dog fight' re-inactment by First World War planes.

Sir Sterling Moss was there to sign autograph along with three of his race cars which were put through their paces on the track by current owners.

A great event where you get right in the action, 29 TR's should turn up for Sunday's event, so if you're reading this now, get yourself down there tomorrow and enjoy this superb event. Certainly put it in your diary for next year.
