'Red Eye' start for Kennet Valley TR Groups visit to Brooklands Classic Breakfast
Six KVG members TR's and one members TR3 disguised as a Mercedes E series estate (due to TR3 brake failure), visited Brooklands Classic Breakfast for the February Mid Monthly meeting. Four cars set off from the Holiday Inn, Padworth at circa 07:00 and joined up with the other three on route.
A nice quiet run mainly off motorway got us to Brooklands at 08:10, the entry fee included a full English and a cuppa so that's where KVG'ers headed first. Then spent a great time looking at many lovely examples of classic cars that had attended, At 11:00, off to a briefing to be able to take our TR's up the test hill and enjoy driving them along part of the historic banked racing circuit, albeit at a much slower pace than those classic racers. Now time to see the many other attractions and museums on site, some lunch and head home!
Lots to see and do at Brooklands, a thoroughly enjoyable visit, do go if you get chance?
