An Audience with Stuart Turner - July 23rd 2017

Glavon's route started from Tetbury in very wet conditions and took us over the Downs on some great roads via a coffee stop at The Blue Boar Inn at Aldbourne, to Down Ampney. At the modern and very well appointed village hall, after a picnic lunch, Stuart regaled us with stories and hilarious anecdotes from his days at the pinnacle of British success in International Rallies. The event was attended by members from Glavon, Kennet Valley, Wye Dean, Brunel, Cotswold Vale and Devon Groups, and raised £300 for Stuart's favoured charity, The Motorsport Safety Fund. Tea and cakes provided by a number of the Ladies helped to raise a further £140 towards the TS2 Restoration Fund. All in all a very successful inter-group event - many thanks to all those who attended and helped to organise the day.
