Tuesday 9th January was a sad day for us all as it was Tracy Butter’s funeral. All Saints Church at Preston, near Hull, was packed. This included a very large turnout of TR Register EasTRiding Group people who were paying their respects. The Nags Head, Preston, was under pressure to serve the large number of mourners but coped well. Our condolences once again to Steve & Gabrielle.
Sunday 14th January was our first club event of the year. With the vagaries of winter weather to allow for we kept it simple. So no run. It was just Sunday lunch at our monthly meeting venue, the Light Dragoon, Etton. We had 30 people sitting down to eat, including TR Reg visitors Phil & Sandy Blake. It being Phil Blake’s birthday we all had to sing happy birthday to him. The flu seems to have caught many people this year. The 5 people off with flu missed a good meal.
