9th December was the EasTRiding Group’s Christmas Party Night. This year we were out at the Beverley Racecourse Grandstand. This resulted in a good venue and food, with an entertaining disco. We welcomed three visitors from other Groups; the Wornes from Derby Dales, & John Collinson from Wharfedale. The following day, Sunday, is the Beverley Christmas Festival, with a huge one-day Christmas market, with reindeer in one corner and all manner of other side-shows. This year we had several late drop-outs from the party due to illness. Two people even had operations on the day before our party.
Unfortunately, one of these was Tracy Butter. Tracy had a major operation on Friday 8th, but died early on Sunday 17th December. Our condolences go out to Steve Butter and their family on this sad occasion. They were very active members of this Group, and Steve is interested in other classic cars too. I know that the very bubbly Tracy will be sadly missed by members of the Group, so it will be even more difficult for Steve in the coming days and weeks.
