Our next meeting will be this coming Wednesday evening, 4th October, at The Peacock in Henton, OX39 4AH. There will be good food, good ale and most excellent company. Please, do come and join us if you can.
The Kop Hill Festival weekend went very well, despite a few showers on the Sunday, but not enough to keep the Lancaster from doing the planned fly past. The event is sure to pass their target of raising over £1m for local charities since the beginnings back in 2009. Most impressive but so too were our own efforts to make a charitable donation. After covering the cost of the BBQ food and other stuff, we raise an astonishing £510 for Prostate Cancer UK. Together with Gift Aid and help from a sponsor, we should be able to raise this to something in the region of £1100. Quite amazing. Very well done all and thank you all for your support and generosity.
