Chiltern TR Group - News 31st July 2023

Our next meeting is this Wednesday evening, 2nd August at The Peacock in Henton, OX39 4AH. Do come and joint us if you can, you will be most welcome. We will be eating in the restaurant before adjourning to the function room.
The Kop Hill Climb event will soon be here so it is now time to make your booking, if you haven’t done so already. You will be aware that the organisers are trying to implement a new booking system and, it is safe to say, there are a few problems. One of which is the apparent lack of the facility you list for display with Chiltern TRs. However, that is being sorted and I have been given the link below. This is where you can create a booking and “Assign” and “Affiliate” with the “TR Register - Chiltern Group”. If you have booked already, this will still work for you as you can assign your booking. We have tested it a couple of times and it does work but you will not (at the moment) be able to see that you have been successful – but I as Group Leader can. Sounds a bit flaky but they assure me that work continues to perfect the new system. If you have any concerns let me know and I will badger the KHC Events Team (again). Don’t delay, book today !!

Don’t forget the Brill Festival with Classic Cars (and the beer festival) is on Sunday 27th August. On the cricket ground, just turn up after 1200 and there is no charge for entry. The festival is the whole of that Bank Holiday weekend and features many other attractions including music, and of course beer.
