Chiltern TR Group - News 14th July 2023

Dear Friends

Our next meeting will be next Wednesday evening, 19^th July, when we return to a favourite haunt, The Clifden Arms at Worminghall. Our thanks to Aidan for once again making all the arrangements. See his message below -

“Dear Chiltern TR Colleagues,

Our next mid monthly get together will be held next Wednesday 19^th July and I’m pleased to confirm that we will be returning back to The Clifden Arms at 75 Clifden Road, Worminghall, Bucks (HP18 9JR) – www.theclifdenarms.co.uk.

The Clifden Arms is a community owned pub and as previously, we will again be sat in their marquee.

I have said that we will be arriving from 5.30pm onwards, they are looking forward to seeing us again and in order that I can keep them updated on our numbers, please would you let me know if you will be able to join us, either by e-mail to aidan.coles@btinternet.com, or by text to 07836-530780.

There are a couple of interesting events that have not appear on the list so far.

22^nd and 23^rd July is the Classic Vehicle Show at the Chiltern Open Air Museum near Chalfont St Giles, HP8 4AB. Classic cars and a fascinating chance to step back in time to see what life was like for ordinary folk living in the Chilterns in those days. See www.coam.org.uk for details.

The 18^th

Brill Festival is 25^th – 27^th August with classic cars on Sunday 27^th at the cricket ground. No fees or booking, just turn up from 1200. Also there will be the beer festival and live music ! Maybe bring a picnic too.
