Dear Friends
As we discussed at the last meeting, we have four events rushing up which need your consideration and attention as bookings need to be made.
Aidan has done all the research and complied the itineraries and we are most grateful to him for his time and effort.
With so much information to impart, I have made each event a separate attachment, avoiding an impossibly long email message.
Friday 10th February - is a Special Event at Gaydon to mark the birthday of Sir John Black (the former chairman of Standard Triumph). It is hoped to attract at least 100 Triumphs to attend. The plan is to meet at Oakley, depart by 1000, collect others along the way or see you there. That will be followed by a lunch at The Gilks’ Garage Café at nearby Kineton. See attached for details and contact Aidan if you wish to be there so that he can make the necessary lunch bookings.
Saturday 18th February – is the mid-month meeting and will be held at The Abingdon Arms at High Street, Beckley. See attached for details and contact Aidan if you wish to be there so that he can make the necessary lunch bookings.
Saturday 18th March – (the only date available to us) is the mid-month meeting and a visit to the Aston Martin Heritage Trust Museum at Drayton St Leonard (OX10 7BG), just north of Benson and south of Stadhampton. This will be during the morning and followed by lunch at the nearby Wandering Kitchen Lakeside Café. Sunday 23rd April – is the “Drive it Day” adventure which will encompass a ride on the steam trains of The Gloucester Warwickshire Railway at Toddington (not far from Prescott Hill Climb).
