Chiltern TR Group - News 18th January 2023

I hope that you are keeping warm, dry and safe.
With the weather as grim as it is, we obviously decided to forgo a mid-month meeting in January. However, there is much to look forward to in the coming months.
Sunday 12th February is the MG & Triumph Spares Day at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry, Warwickshire, CV8 2LG where the club will have a stand and display. See http://mgandtriumphsparesday.co.uk
Sunday 23rd April is “Drive it Day” which is a national celebration of the whole classic vehicle movement and your chance to get out and about in your car. We will be organising a suitable event. More details anon. See https://www.fbhvc.co.uk/drive-it-day
Although some way off, you should have 11th – 13th August in your diary. This is the “Triumph@70” Event at the Bath and West Showground, Shepton Mallet. Tickets will be on sale soon and full details will be published on the TRR website. Now is the time to start looking for nearby accommodation and get bookings made. There are many meetings and events planned throughout the year. Our up-to-date list can be found on our home page on the TRR website at https://www.tr-register.co.uk/group/chiltern-trs.
The many of you who were at the January 4th meeting heard of a proposed tour, which would take in the TRR Scottish Weekend, (see https://www.tr-register.co.uk/doune ). Ian Smith proposed an itinerary for discussion. For those of you who were not at the meeting, I have attached a copy. We are trying to gauge the level of interest. If there are sufficient takers, Ian will investigate further and come back with a plan. So, please do get in touch with Ian, or myself, if you are interested.
Our next meeting will be the evening of Wednesday 1st February at The Peacock in Henton. Catch up with you then.
