Jersey Royal
Hi All, I have been rooting around in the boot. My car has no boot light at all but does have the purple and two purple and white wires. These wires are for the lamp and switch. I intend to re make cardboard liners and probably apply a thin boot carpet. I am also thinking of putting in two boot lamps as one is probably not sufficient. My query is how are the boot lamp switched, as i cant see anything obvoius in the boot area where a swich would have been placed ? Your help would be appreciated Regards Guy Edited February 28, 2007 by Jersey Royal
Peter Vernon
The boot light switch is activated by the LH hinge and the switch should be in view if you remove the boot board.
Jersey Royal
The boot light switch is activated by the LH hinge and the switch should be in view if you remove the boot board. Thanks Peter, Have had a look, the only thing i can see is a flat plate on the rear of the RH hinge. No sign of any switch. Thanks for your swift reply, i can now see that the place for the new switch should be behind the plate on RH Hinge (in my case) Cheers Guy
EricTR6
Guy, In order to get more light in the boot you can also consider swopping the standard bulbs for led bulbs Edited February 28, 2007 by EricTR6
