victor72
I've discovered an oil leak from the solendoid bracket to the overdrive casing ('A' type). Is replacement simply a case of carefully removing the bracket and repacing the gasket or is this not so straightforward due to the accumulator spring behind the bracket ? Any advice much appreciated.
scotty
The bolts holding the plate on are quite long so you need to do a bit of each one at a time to stop in getting stuck (the spring has quite a lot of tension). Other than that , its just a straight forward clean the facings and replace the gasket . Remember to put something under to catch the oil . There is not a great deal behind the plate but enough to make a mess .
