Leaking Roof

My roof is leaking - the water drips off the inside flap/edge of the hood at the corner where the windscreen and door post meet.

Now I have just traded my fixed head in for a drop head. I am pretty sure it didn't leak before so could well be that I have done something wrong when I put took the hood down for the first time. It drips on both sides in the same place so maybe I haven't quite got the hood right but I have spent the afternoon seeing if there is any other configuration for the flaps and windo arrangement but have got nowhere - and then it started chucking it down!

Any ideas?

andydav,

This is a commmon problem with the TR7 hood and it does help positioning the corner seal but suggest it will still drip in depending of serveriaty of the weather condition. I suggest you have towel / plastic bag to soak the drips up. My TR7 in heavy rain always lets in the rain in on the passenger side first.

Hi Guys

I must be lucky then as my hood does not leek at the points you all mention. How ever because I do not have a hand book yet, I do not know the correct way to tuck the hood and arrange straps. This is were my lack of knowledge comes in. I always ensure the glass is fully wound up and tucked right up under the gutter, the inside flap is down and completely resting on the glass edge and the front edge of the roof is over the A post gutter. Then before I leave the car I purposely pull the gutter edge down a bit to ensure the gutter wil be free flowing. I don't know if this right but it works for me.

Regards Rob.
