jrv8
Hi, The early Range Rover had an oil temperature gauge fitted as standard, and the sender unit for this was in the oil pump. I have some of the original adaptors for the pump if you need one. If you intend to use a stat in the oil cooler circuit, then you will have to use one with a bypass to allow the oil to circulate when the stat is closed. Do you really need a cooler ? Fraggle
When i had my old V8 the oil pressure was very low and the light was always on when i worked the engine hard, so when that broke i fitted the new engine i was advised to fit a cooler, it made a huge difference, over 15 psi at idle all the time, now i'm worried the oil is to cool and i have no way to measure it, i would like an adaptor for a gauge, does it go in the blanking bolt hole? Any other ideas?
