Clive Allen Posted August 31, 2023 Report Share Posted August 31, 2023 Would love some advice and recommendations please. Having a bit of a crisis with my TR4A which has been in the family from new. Body, chassis, drivetrain etc all good as replaced/updated over the years. But the engine is almost original - the most recent work being conversion to unleaded, whenever that was, years ago. It now suffers from hot start problems, I'm aware of the reasons for this (changes in fuel etc) but usually if I have to stop for any reason, it'll take 15-20 mins to start again. Bottom line is: I don't trust it to be reliable, hence it only gets driven for a few miles a year, hence it is unreliable. I know it would probably benefit from heat shielding etc but don't have the time or expertise to work on it myself. Can anyone suggest a specialist in the northwest, ideally Cumbria area, who might be able to work on it? I'd also like to change to a Kenlowe fan for example. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
