Nick Seber
I have read many informative posts regarding what’s seems to be a common problem. My rear end clonk is most apparent at low (walking) speeds over undulations or bumps although I presume engine and wind noise drowns it out above that. No noises when engaging the clutch and moving backwards or forwards so hoping it’s not diff bracket issue. no noises when pushing rear suspension up and down either. I will start with the easy stuff such as loose bolts, handbrake cables etc but wondered if the diff bracket can be inspected in situ?

Nick Seber
Thanks Roy. Did some non scientific testing by laying on the floor with a torch and bouncing the rear suspension. I kept moving around the car until it was at its loudest- by the driver’s door. Bounce the suspension with the door open and the noise goes away. All, the gaps are good, but the door needs a bit of a slam to shut properly. how do I adjust the door to improve closing and maybe get rid of the clonk?
