I am fitting the old rear springs back on to my TR3A. My decision is to lift the body enough to slide the front part of the spring sideways and leave the mounting pin untouched. Today I removed seven bolts holding the body to the chassis from each side. Tomorrow I plan to jack up the rear of the body and need some advice on which part of the body shell is strong enough. I have a strong scaffold board and I am planning to fit it under the square seat behind the front seats.

Can anyone recommend a better way to lift the rear of the body until the spring can be move sideways and then off. I am hoping for no rain again so I can be enthusiastic about lying on the ground outside the garage.

Please help,

Richard & B
