Hi all,

I refreshed the engine last winter including honing, new shells and piston rings, together with the refurbed head.

I ran the car in with frequent gear changes up and down local hills and varied the revs. Oil changed at 100, 500 and 2500 miles with the total now at 3600.

I haven’t yet done a BMEP run and wondered if it should have been done earlier in the running in process or could it be done at any time?

Any thoughts?

Rgds

I do it early on after only a few miles to ensure that everything is correct but it will be beneficial at any time. I regularly treat my cars to a bit of hard work to keep the cylinder seals well sealed.
