I recently received the sad news that Doretti owners, Pat (age 82) and Harold “Mitch” Mitchell (age 84) of Peoria, Illinois, were both killed in a two-car crash.

Some long-time UK owners may remember their visit to England in 1995 to specifically to attend an international meeting of Doretti owners. They told their US friends, they were wonderfully hosted by Duncan Rabagliati who even loaned them a Doretti to drive to the gathering.

According to his friends, Mitch got so much pleasure from owning his Doretti, more so it seems than his Jaguar E-type, because of its rarity in the United States.

Rest in Peace – true Doretti enthusiasts.
