Guest jess Posted May 8, 2006 Report Share Posted May 8, 2006 hi guys, on my six i've just replaced the crank with new bearings and thrust washers, torqued it up and measured the end float which is now .0035'' this is a bit tighter than the spec. but rotates smoothly,do you think i'm ok to leave this or re do it. marvmul Posted May 8, 2006 Report Share Posted May 8, 2006 The thrust washers can be adapted by rubbing the steel back side on sand paper, resting on an even ground. But I suppose the clearance tends to get a little wider. Perhaps you can run it like this and check the clearance after the first trips? Quote Link to post Share on other sites
