Throttle cable - which way round?

My Revington system has a whine up spring fitted as originally supplied, there is no way that the choke cam can stick on because of the tension it is under! In the distant past I did have a problem with high tick over and after much head scratching this was down to one of the manifold clamps including the stud had fallen out causing an air leak on the manifold to cyl. head.

If they are all there are they correctly fitted as they can slide off and I have had that problem as well?

Bruce.

All the clamps seem fine Bruce, the inlets have been refitted twice with a new gasket each time, spring washers checked and all looks well. I have checked all nuts are done up tightly, a much easier task with the overhead linkage.
