morph
I see there is a DHC on ebay shown as being a 77/78 model, it's item number is 4604482145 . The chap says there are some different parts on it. Could this be an early preproduction model that's worth saving?? Paul
malcolm
I've tried asking the seller for the commission/VIN number, but ebay sellers are often wary of giving these out. Shame it is in Lincolnshire and too far to drop in and see. It's probably a re-shelled (or maybe even 'chopped') FHC rather than a pre-production car. The 10 (or so) hand-built 'ACT' series prototype convertibles were built in April/May 1978.... Malcolm. Edited January 15, 2006 by malcolm
malcolm
ACG16482. Which would make it late 1976 from Speke. Unfortunately the car is not on the TR Register records so no more information from there. Doesn't sound like a prototype DHC. Malcolm.
