bob-menhennett
Long term Restoration Ok...Ok...I admit it I didn't record how it came to bits...I mean how complicated can the boot lock catch system be !!.I've bolted the catch to the lid, I 've bolted the catch to the bodywork but when closed the hook of the latch seems quite away from the catch.Should my catch on the body have a bolt, to act as a peg, for the latch to hook around ?The parts manual doesn't show such an item. Input/ suggestions ....as to where I am going wrong... welcome
D Murton
Bob The catch bollted to the body on my 4A has a pln about 3/8" dia and 1/2" long mounted on it that the latch on the boot lid hooks on to. I'm not sure whether this is removeable or not but would have thought that if yours was missing there would be a hole in the plate where it had been. DaveM
