RogerH Posted September 22, 2014 Report Share Posted September 22, 2014 Hi Folks, over the last few months some posters have had concerns over new repro OD switches. Recently mine has had a clunky feel to it when deselecting OD. Today I decided to have a look rather than wait till October and repair it in a Scottish Glen in the pouring rain. There was evidence of a small amount of arcing on the open off contact that was causing the little slider to pick up on it. A little dab of copper ease grease has given it a new lease of life. Perhaps a capacitor across the contact may help to reduce the arcing (caused by the coil in the relay, maybe). Roger Quote Link to post Share on other sites
