ebartle
I am finishing up a restore and have a question. At the end of the steering box is a hollow brass nut. Is there supposed to be a seal or something to keep the fluid from running out? Any help woul be appreciated.
Les
Hi. Welcome to the forum. This nut should contain a split brass olive which seals onto the thin stator tube through which the horn/indicator wiring runs from the steering wheel centre. Les.
gnotte
Hi, as Les says this is the correct fitting if you use the original steering wheel with the original control head, a stator tube will join the control head to the end of the steering box and beeing fixed to the box as per Les post.
