Falcon Flyer
Hi all, I have a late TR7 drop head which needs some bodywork done. I have all of the panels already but I'm aware of certain irregularities on the wings which need a certain "know-how" in order to make them fit correctly.... Can anyone recommend a TR7-experienced paint/body shop in the South East UK?
jojim65
Is Eastleigh, Southampton okay for you? http://www.classicrestore.co.uk/index.html Owner is Graham, our group had a visit there a few weeks back. I was very impressed and they now have a TR6 boot of mine being worked on.
Falcon Flyer
Yes! Eastleigh is about 50 minutes from me! Do you know if he's clued up on the TR7 and the apparent "tricks" of fitting the wings correctly? Thanks for the tip, I'll give him a call.

jothecat
There's Bridport Coachworks but might be too far west John the panel beater has a restored 16v convertible which he did himself. Jo
Falcon Flyer
Bridport is possible.....the only reason I want the paint shop fairly close is so that I can get the car to them and back home in a day for a quote!!! I'll check out these two suggestions next week......happy to accept more recomendations as I really want a top quality job, so will probably visit a few before I ask for quotes. Thanks
jothecat
Bridport coachworks have done some work each of the last 3 years on mine and I've been very pleased. Martin is the owner. Not open on Saturdays. Jo
Falcon Flyer
Thanks, I'll certainly ask them to have a look at the car and give me a quote. :-)

Falcon Flyer
I sure will! I'm abroad now until the end of June, but intend dusting the car off and getting serious about finally restoring this car!
