Guest ewanmc
Just took the car out of garage and clutch siezed I had stupidly left it in gear. Have read the faq but i only have about a meter of room. have been starting car in gear and shunting back and forth most of morning but nothing. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Ps dont suppose anyone has any info on the car RLR 887R
jonlar
It should move into neutral if you belt (with the palm of your hand) the lever towards the neutral position, then you can get it out and try the various previous posts for a seized clutch - the only answer on my 6 was to pull the gear-box! rayjones
Try rocking the car gently back and forward to whilst you are trying to get it out of gear, you should find a point where the gear lever will disengage easily without force. Ray
jonlar
Sorry Ray and Ewan, I assumed that had already been tried!
Guest ewanmc
Clutch still seized tried the pedal depressed for a week idea but still solid, looks like I will have to call in the garage.
Guest Alan Crome
Hope it's free now but I found the best way was to call the garage (after trying everything previously mentioned plus a few more). The car had no tax or MOT so the guy came with his trade plates and drove it off in 1st and within 10 mins it came off "BANG". The car is an 1850 Dolly so I guess it would be the same for a 7. Best £20 I ever spent! (the cost of the "repair" from the garage.
